Mandatory Documents

Passport:

A passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date of departure from the United Kingdom. It should have 2 back to back blank pages. Old passports, if any, need to be submitted. If the old passports are misplaced or damaged, the same needs to be mentioned on covering letter.

Covering Letter:

A covering letter from the employer on their letterhead mentioning the applicant’s details, purpose and duration of travel and also informing who will bear the expenses. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, British High Commission, New Delhi’.

Invitation Letter:

An invitation letter from the UK counterpart on letterhead stating name and passport details of the invitee with travel date, duration and purpose as well as who is bearing the expenses of the trip. The letter should be addressed to ‘The Visa Officer, British High Commission, New Delhi’.

Documents for Employed Individuals (optional):

• • Salary slips for the last 3 months
  • NOC/leave letter from the employer
  • Credit Card statements or Foreign Exchange Endorsement for the last 3 months, if available.

Documents for Self-Employed/Businessmen (optional):

• • Company’s bank statement with seal & sign for the last 6 months
  • Business registration proof i.e. Trade License/MOA etc.
  • ITR acknowledgement copy for the last 3 years
  • Credit Card statements or Foreign Exchange Endorsement for the last 3 months, if available.
